The Wendy bra-in-a-tank-top was designed as a summer top that contains it's own bra. The bra is NOT a so-called "shelf" bra - I don't find that they hold anything but the smallest (and firmest) of bust sizes. This tank top uses MB Balconette cups (you can use underwires or not with these cups) on a power net frame which provides a nipple-free front. Two views are included - one with an empire line under the bust and one without. The bra hidden inside also offers two versions for the back - one with a traditional bra hook and eye and the other as a pull-on style. Our testers gave this one a very big THUMBS UP!

Based on the price, I expected this pattern to be as detailed as the bra patterns offered by Pin-Up Girls, of which I've bought three, but I was sad to see that this was a fairly simple camisole with more of a tutorial for adding a bra lining. While there are actual lining pieces, there are no lines for where the bra cups and elastics go and the process for inserting them is pretty crude, requiring just sort of slashing the cup area open on the lining and trying to smooth everything around it. There's also a dearth of useful details like which which molded cup style to buy if you want to be able to add underwires. While you have to baste the lining in the first step, no seam allowances are mentioned until far further along in the pattern. Overall, I don't really think this is a great value for the price, compared to some of the other patterns I've bought from Pin-Up Girls.
